NEWACC is a relatively new group whose origins date to a meeting of regional WAC directors held at the 2007 Critical Thinking and Writing Conference at Quinnipiac University.
Several founding members of NEWACC presented a history of the organization at the 2010 Conference on College Composition and Communication Louisville, Kentucky. The Powerpoint slides from that presentation appear below as a YouTube stream.
